Silk Resurfacing Treatment©

A natural protein fiber, silk has been used for over 3500 years by the world elite to rejuvenate hair and skin. Only the ancient Chinese aristocrats and Geishas of the ancient capital of Kyoto had access to these beauty products. The cocoon spun by Bombyx Mori silkworms contains sericin, a water-soluble glycoprotein that has important water-binding properties to regulate the skin's moisture content. With each stroke of this manual microdermabrasion technique, the amino acids within sericin are released on the skin.

Sericin

Retexture your skin.

This service is great for any individual wanting softer, polished skin. While less abrasive than regular microdermabrasion, the release of sericin improves hydration, cell growth, and a tightening, anti-wrinkle effect.

The service starts out by softening the skin with our Control Corrective power tool collection, and then the use of the sericin skin resurfacing solution to enhance results.

Sericin and fibrin are the two proteins mainly making up silk. Fibrin is the structural center of silk, while sericin is the gum coating the fibres, allowing them stick together.
